Long time readers of the blog know that we're big fans of French design house J.F. Rey. We've been carrying their optical offerings for quite some time now. We are now happy to announce that we now have sunglasses available as well. Great designs for men and women. Bold colors... Great temple designs including the etched/grooved models below. All are handmade, have 100% UV protection and in most cases can handle a prescription lens.

or is matte black the new black? This stuff always confuses me...I'm still trying to figure out who's on third. Speaking of matte black we just got in 2 new releases from Oliver Peoples in this color... the "Dennison" and the "Barrie". Very neo-retro and just plain cool... Not to be left out, old standby polished black made an appearance too in the form of "Finn" a cool new sunglass from English designer Paul Smith.

From the Italian company MODO is a new collection called ECO (Earth Conscious Optics). Every Frame is made from 100 % recycled materials and with every purchase they'll plant a tree. (Note I said THEY will plant a tree... the only thing I can plant is myself in front of a TV set.) These are also rather reasonably price... so everybody wins. Also arriving are some pretty cool new offerings from the Danes at Pro Design.... and a few old favorites also back in stock.
